Planet Spring barley fungicide

I've used low dose Adexar in a spring barley T2 in the past in the hope of reducing brackling. It had little effect on the brackling, but 2 weeks of rain as the crop matured didn't help at all.

The best step I made for brackling was to stop growing Propino !!

You ought to consider having some Proline in your spring barley fungicides somewhere. It has a good barley disease spectrum. Such a shame Aviator isn't approved on barley as it is very reasonably priced, unlike Siltra.

Have you priced the straight bixafen up, is it inception?

Never looked at that more than briefly. Sitra was still worth it & we weren't confident of the bixafen straight formulation quality. IIRC it was another name for the bixafen at the time.

I've tried to get that in the past to make my own siltra but suprise suprise no one had access to it, it was a good bit cheaper and now we have generic proline would be even better.

Floxypryroxad is a very good and under rated product for barley but sadly at the minute is too dear but once it goes off patient hopefully it'll be like strobes are.

Elatus Era?

Elatus era is dearer than revystar and has a iffy cut off if it's malting barley.
Will the azole in it, metfenconazole or whatever become available as a straight any time soon????

I'm sure I remember my basis trainer saying that the ceratavo plus didn't work out to dear if you used the ceratavo part with something else and used the plus part as a amistar opti at T0 I may be wrong... I often am!!!!

Fair enough, just wondering people’s thoughts of the possibility. But say extase hasn’t broken down to rust, could be worth the gamble.

Depends if the 15 quid you could spend on an insurance is really worth the gamble. aren’t you going through with a pgr or ally max anyway at t1?

The SRUC keep telling us that they see no cost effective response to T1 in spring barley. Not brave enough to try as going on anyway with trace elements.
