Planning advice from the agricultural community

Hi all, new member here.

I recently purchased a 1 acre plot of grazing land just outside of a beautiful village in the yorkshire dales with a river at the bottom (kettlewell)
I am looking to achieve the following in phase 1 of my project:

Add a new gate for my car to access the field from the road (currently only a padestrian gate exists)
add a hardcore section for parking my car at the top of the field
Replace an existing (falling down) small metal barn
"Top" the field and cut all the grass
level and make good the section onto the river as it is quite uneven , overgrown and dangerour right now
Add a picnic bench down at the bottom on the river to enjoy family days out in the field

Hopefully you will let me know what I need planning permission for and how to locate/contact a local farmer or tradesman in the area to undertake any works.

Thanks :)

Attached map and pics of the field.

Longer term we are looking to camp here and maybe get some glamping pods down by the river.

From my experience the local planning department are more likely to give you permission to replace something that exists (and has existed for quite some time by the look of it) rather than something that you say was there and is immeasurable.
You would be well advised to pay and independent planning adviser as there can be many pitfalls

Excellent advice thanks, can anyone recommend one for the yorkshire dales?

Also what about a new gate for vehicle access and a new small hardcore area for parking, do I need planning for those? (no topsoil to be removed)

Looking at it on streetview I don't think you stand a chance of getting permission to do anything on the field, too small for a viable holding so no chance of permission for AG building, huge drop from Road making vehicle access nearly impossible, and very prominent position so National Park would say no to Glamping. EA will say no to any riverbank alterations. Lastly its got a footpath as well. Best advice is save your money and pull out.

Have you bought it already? It's not clear apart from your opening post. TBH you can see from its position in the landscape why doing what you're contemplating there might wake up the planners and opposite locals. It's a tough parcel of ground really, is the wall at the bottom flood damaged?
Speak to @George from SJM Planning - though I think I'd rather have / have kept my twenty grand...

Thanks for the advice, the walls all around are in a bad state, not sure if its flood damaged.

There is a public right of way through the field here (red line)
