Planning Applications, PD and the like (General Chat)

Just reading on Facebook that there's some changes coming to permitted development from 9th April I think it was, the 465m2 limit is being raised to 1000m2.
How does that affect the price of putting in an application? Will that mean that I can apply for a shed up to 1000m2 for the flat fee of £330 I think it is?

A quick search looks like it doesn't apply to farm buildings?

Ok, I have looked on the legislation.gov.uk site and the amendment to the
General Permitted Development Order (GPDO) which will come into force on 6th
April reads as follows:

Amendments to Part 6

12. In Class A of Part 6 of Schedule 2, in paragraph A.1(e) for "465 square
metres" substitute "1,000 square metres".

13. In Class B of Part 6 of Schedule 2-

(a)in the following paragraphs for "465 square metres" substitute "1,000
square metres"-

(i)B.2(g);

(ii)B.3(d);

(iii)B.4;

(b)in paragraph B.2(b) for "10%" substitute "20%".

So in essence, the 465m2 restriction will be increased to 1000m2. There are
no further changes to Part 6 so timescales etc will be unchanged and so will
fees as the fee increase has already happened last month and that is
independent to the GPDO updates.

Yeah, so everything apart from the square footage is worded the same? Its not one of these "give with one hand, take considerably more with the other" then?
