I used an agent to start with, I wasn't very happy with what they had done, so agreed to pay if they put it back in but I do all the work, they just put the form in, under their name and left me to it.

A friend said that in his opinion you can't pay someone to apply for the house, because they won't be able to put the argument over aswell as yourself.

Whatever you do, get your ward councillor involved and on your side, especially if they're on committee. I think our chap helped us no end, behind the scenes.
