Plans for 2020?

The way I intend to get through the new year is by picturing one of those Farmer Roy pictures where he is steaming down a gravel road in his truck at 60mph with a beer in hand. Gotta go into Top Gun mode and work harder than I ever have before. Change of job as well, plus more studying. It's a tall order but worth hammering through the year shouting: 'have that you bas terd!'

Get fitter, more cycling, go back shooting clay pigeons, get a few decent haylage customers, be happy with my lot.

Landlord wants to turn farm into a nature reserve via new FBT so 2020 maybe my last year doing arable farming before I become a glorified caretaker/ ranger !
Still have contract spraying round and drive other people's machines.

New telehandler, new to us plough, a week's holiday and just keep going ! Hopefully get some long overdue stewardship money paid !

Buy a house! This will hopefully make the wife and kids happy! Oh and a holiday would also help with that.

try and keep more positive even though I think it will be a hard year for me.

Carry on with my RPA appeal, if I win we’ll be good and should make it tho the year. If I lose, well with nothing currently drilled round here harvest looks very bleak straw yields will be down and bankruptcy looks likely !.

We will have to buy another car as the mrs been sharing my pick-up, not decided what to get yet but will have to be 2nd hand.
I also got some concrete to go down to Finnish a shed that was built in 2011, no rush.
Finnish an expensive payment on a tractor, plus a few other loans i got are maturing next year.
undecided whether or not to change my round baler.

My nieghbor is one of the tandem jumpers ,hes gone away from christmas and new year, the plane wont be back till end of January and the second one is in pieces in the hanger,,the bloke that owns sky dive has got more interest in powerboats,,the big buggers with 3000hp that do 100mph
