It’s like a dripping tap you’ve got to fit a washer too
Indian food might not contain meat but it's no less healthy than burgers etc there's so much ghee and lots of it is fried however it really is very tasty. I'd happily go vegetarian if that was on offer but I reckon I'd have a coronary in the first few weeks.Never was keen on veggie food till I went to India, what a revelation, but did not see one burger or sausage made from factory waste.
I could eat a 100% carnivore diet, and it is still all going to source energy at the level of plants, or even below plants as we think of themNot sure you are right there Pete, one or two of those sea creatures are carnivores
I say bring it on
Further more. What the silly fekkers can't understand, is that eating animals that have lived on vegetation, is just eating vegetation that has been put into a "piggy bank"...as is eating the likes of pig meat that has utilised and stored waste or otherwise thrown away foods.
so, just eating my breakfast, porridge with blueberries in it, does that mean I eat a plant based diet? Tea today and yesterday kedgeree, tomorrow probably sausage & mash, then a beef stew for the rest of the week. This survey is complete B*****s. It reports the percentage of people who have eaten a plant based product, but not if they exclusively eat plant based or if they eat a mixture what that mix is. What I see is supermarkets reducing shelf space for it and having to reduce a lot to get rid of it.
I am absolutely honest with my doctor, sometimes I have a glass, sometimes a glass and halfYou can't trust self reporting. How many obese people "Hardly eat anything"
There’s nothing wrong with being vegetarian believe it or not vegetables are grown on farms too. More meat is eaten then ever before and still farmers are whining.
agreed but its the way vegan / vegetarian food is being promoted by lies and half truths and "being better for the planet " bllox ,(says independant who ?) and to echo the link above , sold in a non recyclable plastic packet full of palm oil and salt , so it all smells as marketing by big industry / shareholders and hoodwinking buyers into feeling good and the lie of saving the planetThere’s nothing wrong with being vegetarian believe it or not vegetables are grown on farms too. More meat is eaten then ever before and still farmers are whining.
I remember our old neighbour, bit of a cattle dealer, who liked a proper drink probably 1 or 2 bottles of Whisky/day.He was always calling to see my parents and,one morning, he asked my mother he had been called to the GP for a health check. My mother replied they will probably check his heart ,lungs and give him the once over and ask a few questions. He called round a couple of days later to say he had been.He said to my mother that what she had told him was correct and they also asked him how much he drank. He told my Mum that he said to the GP " I have a glass of Whisky a day " My Mother said that's not true and he replied "Yes it is but I didn't tell him how many times I filled it !!!!!"I am absolutely honest with my doctor, sometimes I have a glass, sometimes a glass and half

Hugely different, same with any freshly prepared food using good ingredients.Never was keen on veggie food till I went to India, what a revelation, but did not see one burger or sausage made from factory waste.
Ah so the farmer is to be held accountable for the contamination of the sludge and not the water company? "Interesting" concept.Interesting tit bit from someone usually more clued up than myself, our new "improved" red tractor organisation are having informal discussions on suspending assured status for a min 2 years from any farmer found to have spread sludge on their land that is subsequently found to be "contaminated", seems not all sewage plants are quite as particular at times as they could be.
I think it's clear that the margins on these things are already falling alarmingly. In spite all of the scandalous advertising they simply aren't shifting it like they assumed they would. Of course, it may be that the punters are simply buying actual vegetables rather than processed slop but hey, who gives a toss?If plant based alternative foods are so popular with the public why is at least one major retailer currently running an ad campaign that they are cutting the prices of such goods?
