I must admit I actually use soya milk in my cereal as I simply prefer the taste......and I come from a dairy farm!

However, for tea nothing beats the real thing.
I mentioned this on another thread today. R4 piece stating 1/3 of all milk sold to 25-45 year olds is plant based. Nick Robinson went over the impartiality line saying "but it's not really milk then is it" Top Man

Very biased report, throwing fairly random figures about in a less than clear way.

1 in 3 drink fake milk-is that once a day, once a month, once a year, once in their lifetime?

What matters is how many (if any) make a permanent switch. Independent figures suggest that the percentage of vegetarians/vegans is virtually unchanged since WW2

And, of course, no reference to the environmental impact of cows milk v almond or oat based products-because that doesn't fit the narrative.

Majority of my friends have switched to oat milk. Some London friends said there was actually a shortage a few months ago.
bit of both here. It’s a market that is going to stay but if people want plant based then At least as farmers we can grow oats as opposed to soya/almond etc thats come from the other side of the world.

I tried some oat milk the other day.
Felt like a spy going behind enemy lines.
I pleased to report it was hideous.

I believe the consumption of dairy in the U.K. is still increasing? Perhaps we’re all just eating more of everything!?
Or maybe some of the claims made don't add up?

I wonder how much is consumed rather than just bought. I’ve been to several events where oat, almond, soya, wasp milk or whatever have been provided but they’ve all been ignored, covered up with cling film and avoided.
