Deciding it's time to try and repair the door frames and side window frames on the 3cx grey cab ....before they fall off  The windows are all nice and flat but one is already cracked .
What money do guys pay to have a large side window cut or installed ?
Is it best to take windows frames to a plant glazer or is just calling the guy out the best bet .

I did get windows made years ago at a local glazers shop and they were about a tenner each - laminated glass . I'm in North Ayrshire if anyone knows a reliable guy ?

I think the problem with the 3cx glass is the holes for the hinges etc, unless you're planning to glue them in.

Thanks Daveh , I don't think the grey cab windows have any holes in the glass . The black cab was the one with the holes .
Yes , if I am making frames I might just glue the windows in anyway .

my landlords had the frames rotted out on the opening side windows, I just scrapped the frame and got glass cut and bonded straight in to the cab easy job saved messing about with the frames. Okay so cant open the side windows but he never opened them anyway.

Thanks zebbedee ,a bit far away but will keep it in mind .
I can't get the machine in the shed so just trying to work out what I'm going to do before I take the windows and doors out . The blue tarp with some old car tyres to keep it down doesn't last long here .

I was having a look there , I see I can get Perspex cut to size locally . Allegedly Mistubushi 15 yr guaranteed puka quality up to 10mm thick . Fair enough , It'll not look as good in a few years , but for a diy botcher like me it might be a compromise option .
Any thoughts ?

We are up between Aberdeen and Inverness and Plant Glazing from Perth used to travel up here. Sometimes a day or two till they had a trip up. Haven't used them for a long time now as we have good local guys now.
