Have you taken your air lines off and blown through, if you have water anywhere near my hypertherm without an air drier they just throw a fit with the sensors inside. Failing that you may have a resistor or capacitor down on the board. Butters are very repairable and worth looking after.

The orange light usually indicates an over heat / thermal set so it may be worth contacting a company who repairs welding boards, they’re not hugely expensive to fix

message this chap and see if he can help -https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123781487857

Generic Chinese one most likely. Butters name doesn't mean the same these days.

The fan is running ?

They like their voltage spot on, not very gennie or long or small wired extension lead friendly im afraid.

might be , or it might be of eastern European origins like the Butters branded MMA inverter i had back about 20 yrs ago.
It Kaput , one day,no life at all and i didn't bother trying to get it repaired as a new one of some type was not expensive , as the prices had come down substantially.

Butters had put all the bits together possibly but if they did they didn't even do that very well as the fan was put in backwards i noticed just after i bought it, " i dont blow, i suck" 😂 ......anyway all i did was unbolted the fan and turned it around , worked well for quite a few yrs, i think i cooked it on long leads in the end tbh.

but I guess a 'modern' electrician would be the person to ask, worth a shot anyway, even if just for sentimental value.
