Im a lady farmer that started my little dairy herd in November and all it’s done since then is ☔️ rain.

All the cattle and still in, the fields are partially underwater, I’m buying in silage and I’m fed up of mucking out sheds.

The weather is being very cruel. Please someone tell me it gets better than this!

Just let my herds out today but even here the weather isn't great compared to last spring - hitting 20 degrees every other day then straight back to 7... more rain forecast but its starting to dry quick. Problem is whether its going to bake off to quickly and end up with only one cut before August :(

We have so many dry Marchs on the run, we became to think that is normal. The good thing about it being wet this time of year is if you sow something it will grow, and there should be enough water in the soil to keep it going, the temperature is rising so it will romp away, and it great for grass. April was always supposed to be sunshine and showers.
My heart goes out to those that have been under water for months.

I am not sure where you are but we certainly haven't had many dry March's on the run, this is the second biblicaly wet one in 3 years, and the ones around that have been average

i have ponds on the corner of stubble fields
this is v dry light land
but the downpours are so heavy
it runs to the lowest point
normally i am spring ploughing
when the poplar leaves are emerging
only buds on 'em yet
so spring is at least a month late
