Hi new member looking for a plough to go with my ford 3000 . Any ideas ?.

A ransomes would be good just wondered if there were any for sale or if any models were bether than others .

If your looking for a reversible then back in the day a TS 81 matched up to my Ford 3000 really nicely, Conventional of the era would be either a TS 90 or dare I say it a TS86, the TS 86 is a beautiful plough and very expensive, I have one which has won the British national and European titles, not really looking to sell it however if you were to make an off somewhere north of £8,000 I may be tempted.

If you want to compete then beware of mouldboard type on a TS 90, many were fitted with UCN bodies and at the time of writing this they are not allowed in the Classic class, the classic class is the only class available for your tractor other than the World Style class.

I f you want to play at a working day then any old reversible or conventional will suffice but a bright on which the adjustments are free to move on helps a lot

your not allowed depth control, you have to weight the tractor up to its very limit and drag the plough through the ground like lead weight...apparently

I shall be making the most of the "TCU" feature of the 990 when i get this 4f ransomes back home
