they survived because they weren't snowflakes back in the old days it was common to get off and walk alongside warm your hands on the exhaust and adjust the plough just think boys no cabs sitting there for ten hours in the cold no heater no shelter bugger all creature comforts,
been there done that.. Then the old chap took the fun out of the job by buying a Lambourne cab. Happy days, yea right

The first man I worked for, who has been a lifelong inspiration, was the first British winner of the golden plough that year.

I don’t, but should you be able to find a copy of Power Farming around that time, they probably would have covered the competition in their magazine.
