It is the 75th match this year. Looking for ideas on how to mark the occasion. I would like to see if we can get a steam plough along etc

bit of a crowd puller , impressive sight and sound ...takes a fair bit of ground of course though..

Kelston Sparks have a steam set, based near Bristol. Delve into the records and see if you can find enough vintage men to recreate the first match, same kit as then and if poss kit that was used at that match. have a binder and a combine working, and perhaps a threshing drum and trusser. Above all though, have notices and people about who can tell those who come along what is going on, and why.

One of my favourite matches! I can't believe it is the 75th match already, as it feels like yesterday it was 70 years. Another mug would be nice for the 75th match. :)

Any chance of the match being on the same site as 2019, or a site with similar soil to 2019's.? That was some of the best ground I had ploughed in a long time.

Ok, the 75th Cheriton Fitzpaine match is on 20th September 2020 (easy to remember [emoji38])
The site is very close to the 2019 one so should be the same soil type. I will find out where the first one was held.
Would be great to have many TFF ploughmen with us.
We will see what we can come up with to mark the occasion

Yes so a weekend of Shropshire ploughing

You fancy a bit of scribing?
Brilliant idea two matches close together in same weekend worth coming across for, are you having reversible classes, think purkiss duo are coming up from Southend for Whitchurch match ?
