Points for cultipress

So looking at replacing the points on our cultipress... as far as im concerned with the price of normal points at £2.81 i cant justify Pan Anglias tungsten ones at £19... However i do like using tougher ones behind my wheels, and am trying to compare how long they last. The options are:

PA's Tungsten tipped £19
Spaldings Durafaced £9. 60
Avenues Acre Plus £8ish

The tungsten tipped are good, last about 3 times a normal reversible ones, the others i havent tried... what even is durafaced?
The acre plus are a porous looking metal, but i use them on the Simba SL and they seem to be pretty good....any reccomendations would be helpful.

Same question for points for spring tine....?
Normal are £0.81. Will do the bulk in these but for behind the wheels...?

Tungsten tipped £10.50
Duraface £5.92
Acre Plus £4

I would say that tungsten on plough is worth it without question but for these other things i need advice....

I tried durafaced plough points from spaldings a few years back. Couldn't tell much difference in wear rate to a standad spaldings point. That's all I can tell you about durafaced.

We've used the avenue acre plus points for years on our vaderstad rexius twin. Not sure if they'd be the same? They last really well, depending on season can make 1 set last all Autumn!

All of the above are good and valid points, it is often difficult in justifying long life parts when the standard equivalents are just so low cost, if it is looked at from the point of view of maintaining depth, reducing downtime of expensive kit and simply doing the job right, then the long life solutions look more attractive.
Tungsten is a great option, the main issue is that the steel around it tends to wear rapidly, this is due to the whole assembly being heated up to annealing temp to braze on the tungsten and so it looses its hardness, if you weld on your own tungsten Ferobide tiles it is both cheaper and you do not soften the rest of the unit. Try putting Ferobide into google for full info.
