Police recover stolen quad bikes in Fife

Police in Fife has recovered two stolen quadbikes after they were taken from a farm in Fife this morning (August 26).

A Yamaha quad and a Honda quad were stolen from Nether Pratis Farm in the early hours of the morning.

Police have since recovered the two quads but have yet to locate the thieves.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.35am on Thursday, August 26, police were called following the theft of two quad bikes from a farm near Leven in Fife.

The bikes, a red Yamaha and a red Honda, were recovered locally by officers.

“Enquires into the theft are continuing,” the statement concluded.

£50,000 of damage caused to tractors during farm theft​


Police in Scotland have also launched an investigation after around £50,000 of damage was caused to two tractors in the Banff area on August 17.

Power tools were also stolen during the incident and death threats were also sprayed across the damaged tractors.

PC Hussain who is leading the investigation into the incident said: “The tractors were badly damaged which has put them out of action.

“I would appeal to anyone in the area between the times and if you saw anything suspicious to call 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800555111 quoting incident 0473/17th.”
