We dont even know if the vaccine stops you from spreading it yet. Some people even after getting vaccinated may go on to develop mild symptoms. Theres no word of vaccinating kids who we know can spread it. So there could still be plenty spreaders out there. I wont be the only vilan
You can definitely spread it without the vaccine though. You aren't a villain but why worry about mild symptoms? compared to people dying early, masks, suicides, redundancies, mental health issues, no pubs, no this, no that...

give me 20 quids worth of symptoms any day.

Sorry i meant even if vaccinated you can still catch covid but symptoms would be mild according to the drug companies.

Im not bothered about a sore arm or feeling crap for a day after a jag. Im just a little concerned that since the first human only gpt vaccinated 6 months ago what are the long term affects for people routinely getting vaccinated.

The drug companies have signed contracts so that the wont be responsible if this happens. So it is a possibility

That's big of them

This virus is not Ebola, most people don't even know they have got it unless they are tested!

Take flu that kills on average about 16k people a year in the UK ( 2018 it was about 60k ) yet they do not offer the flu vaccine to everyone and it should be the same with this virus vaccine!

I know people who are in the very very high risk groups that really should have the vaccine regardless of the possible side effects yet they are saying they wont have this vaccine ( they have the flu one ) because no one knows how often you will have to have it and what the long term side effects may be!

I can't see the point in worrying about the unknown, we've got real problems with the known.

Interesting question since my mother is a nurse effectively, at local gp practice and it will be her job to vaccinate people. She does not want it right away either. I asked her what if they say you have to have it? She said she will weigh her options at the time. I suspect she will reluctantly take it but the option is there to quit i guess.

Another interesting point i never thought of is i probably wont be allowed in to see my granny in the care home if i dont take it.

I dont have the answer for those caring for the vulnerable. Pfizers vaccine is suppose to give strong immunity at all ages.

I dont see how compains employing people in other industries should make their staff get the jab. I know they already do for flu in some parts of the world.

Well you are may I suggest a tad naive I run a barbers - with 'self employed' barbers taking a chair. I certainly want to market my barbers a 'Covid friendly - all my barbers fully vaccinated with certificates on show' And I expect folk will feel more comfortable in my premises. Now I can go on - think it will be difficult for some sectors of society to not be vaccinated. But time will tell.

Most of us do have some of those though. Have you seen the obesity and asthma figures recently?
Obese people have increased risk of dying from a wide range of things.
It's not clear to me that we should shut down society and cause needless preventable deaths in order to attempt to save the small fraction of obese people under 60 who will die of their obesity with covid as a co -morbidity factor.

You do realise that the small number is over half of the population? And Covid is not really a co morbidity either - it’s the main cause in reality. I notice you didn’t mention asthma either - five and a half million in the UK right now, and most very well managed -but would still be listed in the event of a Cv death.

I said the "small fraction of obese people" the fact that there are millions of them emphasizes how small that fraction is!

I was actually asking @essex man / he writes “they” and “them” where I would write “us”. I’m curious to read if he’s as healthy as he suggests.

Do be honest sir.

Are indeed: they, them and us. All have a different meaning, depending who is using those three little words and the context. Have to make an educated guess sometimes.

Now to BMI - I would be honest, if only the bathroom scales were honest.
