Local riding school is turning out the riding cows for a couple of months following the recent lockdown and want to rent a field.

What would you charge for grazing for 7 12-14 hand ponies? On well fenced, permanent pasture with water.

Early thoughts are £30 per animal per week plus £30 per round bale? Don’t want to take advantage as they are my wife’s best customer for her farriery business.

my 'early thoughts' are the riding school won't stand that much...you're talking £840/month + hay with no cash coming in.....question is do you want to help them survive for the farriery business sake or not ;) .....half that imo

Some large horsey places around here are desperate and can no longer source any Hay. Credit already a problem!!
Can see a lot of these being made into Burgers or else will become welfare cases.

In this area it is not the price of the Hay but actually finding any at all.

Those are very generous figures, especially the £30 for grazing. There should be plenty of local farmers who are willing to help.
