Poor kill out %

Has anyone else had low kill percentages with lambs this year? Put a batch of lambs in last week at 44kgs liveweight and they came back at just over 17kgs DW or 38% some hill lambs but plenty of continentals in there to. Graded well with all either 3Ls or 3hs so not as if they were lean. Buyer tells me they’re having lots killing out poorly but just interested if this is the case with other farmers. I’ve checked my weigh scales and they’re bang on.
Had similar all year, lambs you’d say were an easy 3L coming back as 2’s and 2’s coming back as 1’s 😭 everyone saying the same in certain areas - basically where it’s been dry. The last few kills have graded a lot better albeit a lot less ram lambs in them. Lambs just suddenly melting and losing 5-6kg in a week hasn’t helped matters, thankfully not many but they’ve been knocked by a lot this year!
