Poorly tup

Got a very poorly Beltex x Charolais ram, he’s just coming 2 yo, bought him in a week ago as was scouring badly and looked a tad ill.

vet was here tb testing so took a look- recommended various treatments (fluke and wormer, AB’s) which i gave him but hes not eating and is becoming ever increasingly weak. Last couple of days I’ve drenched him with electrolytes to keep him hydrated but not sure what else to do. Hes not scouring now but has eaten hardly anything the last few days.

I think his fate is inevitable unless anyone has any bright ideas?

TIA

I would certainly try getting a rumen stimulant powder down him for a day or two. If he's off his food the flora and fauna in his gut will go downhill rapidly. Offer a tup blend or soaked beet to him along with hay for energy as well as roughage.
A friend had a ewe become very listless before lambing and after a Cesar' refused to eat but the rumen powders and tup blend slowly brought it round.
It is also vitally important to get water in to him, dehydration stops all his organs from functioning including his gut.
Sheep being sheep and all that take this advice as being worth exactly what you paid for it.

As above, I had a ewe go off food acres a caesar this week. The vet recommended a strong coffee drench and/or off feed drench to get the rumen going again. She had the coffee in the morning and 2 litres of selekt off feed in the evening and was eating by next morning:happy:
