I find the go in easier leaving the ramp up and using the back door instead. If they're not keen, lift their front feet in to the trailer and they'll usually hop in. Door shut quickly behind.
How are your ramp doors hinged we had one once and changed it to a side swing one because when you dropped it the gap between the door and the trailer was just right to get a sheep leg down

Yes I see that, but I just assumed @Nithsdale Farmer was just a ramp with no door in

Yeah, just a ramp no door on my trailer.

There is a gap, most ewes walk over it fine - if you're fighting with a ewe to get her to walk in, there are a few manage to put a leg down. That trailer is 13 years old, and the one before it was the same. Only had 1 ewe injured with the gap in all that time.

Yes one of them things I suppose you know about it and you watch out for sheep slipping a leg down. Anybody use any of this stuff https://www.quadcrate.co.uk/packages/

Sorry to the OP this is going off topic

@abitdaft here's my trailer floor. It's brilliant - every off road ATV trailer should be made with a floor like that IMO

Bumping this thread

It might not be of any help straight away but I’ll be putting these back into production later this year. We have/are purchased what was port agri equipment. If I can help give me a shout.

Did you start making these snackers again?

Are you making them the same as the old ones - I'm needing a complete new axle

We’re manufacturing parts for them currently but not building complete machines right now.

Can you send a picture across of your current one, we can make a new ones with bearings if needed.

Dm me if you need. [emoji106]

Does yours not have the metal arch which goes front to back over the hopper? The tarpaulin goes over it so it's peaked in the middle so the rain runs off and it doesn't fall into the hopper when empty.

I have the exact same snacker and replaced my tarpaulin in January. Ask around a few machinery dealers if they work with any tarpaulin companies - I got a tarpaulin custom made for it. I sent off the old tarpaulin, and they got it wrong :banghead: 2nd attempt I send the dimensions and pictures - jobs a good one (y) £48 it cost.
Hi, can I ask where you got the custom made tarpaulin from please? Thanks
