Portapig housing (finrone systems)

hey,
as I am struggling to find a pig farm for sale in Scotland (only found one in north scotland), I have been looking at alternative such as this system, so the theory is I just need a concert pad with electric and water, slurry tanks, Does any one know if the portapig need planning permission, due to it being mobile? Has any one used this system before?

Sorry, don't know much about the panning or infrastructure requirements of that type of housing.
I must say that you are very brave considering all of the expenditure that it will take to set up a new indoor unit. Your production will have to be better than excellent to make a decent return. Some do make it pay very well though.
That is partly why I ended up setting up outdoors- rented land, no planning needed and relatively cheap to set up.

yea it’s going hard and the numbers are tight, don’t think there many indoor breeding a unit out there, I know of one up Perth way and it’s a pig manager wet dream, was hoping I could of bought one but had not luck, even looked to convert old poultry sheds but poultry sheds are selling like hot Cakes, how you finding it outdoor? I heard there really destroy the soil.

Were on very light soil so it's no more damaging than the potatoes and carrots also grown in the rotation.
How about getting a farm with cattle buildings that could then be converted into loose dry sow housing then using portapig type buildings for the farrowing and weaner housing?

We have 2 portapig buildings. Work ok. Farrowing buildings. You don't need planning but they are a very expensive way of doing it I would say

What are you looking to do? Obviously you would need some permanent buildings for dry sow etc.

I you had a hard standing couldn’t you just put arks and hurdles on it? Then just pick them up and push all the muck up in to a heap!

For sum reason i thought it would be worst on soil, there not maybe many farm for sale, with in my price range, just seem like alot of crop,
