Possible biomethane site but not enough feedstock ,south of Glasgow

I’ve a brownfield 10 acre site south of Glasgow with a high pressure gas pipe nearby ,I was wondering if there are any developers still interested? Feedstock could be the biggest issue but maybe foodwaste could be sought ? Cheers

Feed-stock is always the issue for biomass facilities. It's a competitive market and the business case always depends heavily on the feed-stock supply contracts. The contracts rarely last longer than 3 years whereas the ROI can be more than 10 years.
Your best bet for income would be a peeking power facility commonly known as grid backup plants. They would connect generators to the gas supply which would be used to buffer grid energy. This would be a lease for say 30 years or something.
depending on the site there are also a few investors looking for sites for pyrolysis plants. The benefit of these is that they can take a diverse range of waste. The downside being that they are quite large and generally need a buyer for the thermal output as well as a connection for the electricity.

There are some new developments in the biomethane market that could make this viable. The recent extension of the RHI scheme to January 2021 also helps.
How far down the development path are you? If you've got planning, grid injection etc already sorted then that's a big help. If you're still at he blank sheet of paper stage it will be challenging to meet the Jan 2021 deadline, but there are other gas markets offering similar value to the RHI Tier 1 which don't come with the same time constraints.

If you want to drop me a PM I can give you my contact details and we can explore possible ways forward.

As stated above, without feed-stock, you have nothing. But, if there is a suitable gas grid connection, there maybe an alternative viable option.

There are many sites across the UK with full planning that have never been built due to the lack of available feed-stock.

I think the planning/build ratio is 2/10.
