I am a vet student from the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies. I am currently looking for placement for the upcoming summer. I am eager to learn new skills and more about farm animal management. Although I do not have a lot of experience working in commercial farms, I have experiences in working with wild boars and domestic pigs in my previous work (>3 years) and I am also currently volunteering in a local city farm with alpacas, sheep, and goats. I would also have done both lambing and calving in the upcoming easter.
Ideally, I would like to look for opportunities for summer lambing, but I am also happy to work in commercial farm of sheep/beef/ox/alpaca/goat placement.
I do not have preferences in terms of area of work, but I do not have a vehicle and do require accommodation if it is outside of Edinburgh/glasgow.
My time commitment would be ~3-6 weeks (flexible), anytime after mid-June
