Define "proper farming" I would like to knowFor those who want to stay proper farming, good second hand kit will be dirt cheap, with all the others taking environmental schemes.
Retiring! Had a good run and done well out of it if I cash in now, time for jam today. Feels like swimming against an ever stronger current, and in my specific situation I can happily make a good, clean break with no regrets
I don’t see how there is going to be enough money for all these stewardship schemes especially the ones that are £450/ha
Policy from the Department for the Eradication of Farming and Rural Affairs? Yes, I'm a strong believer in going with the flow, path of least resistance and all thatYou will be adopting government policy then????
I think it will be very competitive judging by posts on here and I think many will be disappointedMid Tier was originally intended to be competitive. And would have been if uptake of farmers leaving ELS had been greater 2015 - 2019. One of the reasons the non competitive Simplified Arable Offer introduced, to encourage uptake. Will become competitive now judging from the posts on TFF??
This is the key to it all. Would love to get mine down to 1%Seeing as it’s less than 1% of our gross income ... nothing but I doubt we will be left alone
U.K. doesn’t need farmers ... just park keepers. Cummings and his cronies say so
doubt it as we will export all the good stuff on the boats bringing in the ag produceFor those who want to stay proper farming, good second hand kit will be dirt cheap, with all the others taking environmental schemes.
