I wonder why folk in Europe and Southern Ireland, who are obviously so miffed that we had the temerity to leave the EU, are not demanding a public enquiry into why their leaders in Brussels did not listen to David Cameron.

If his reasonable request had been met, we wouldn't even have had a referendum.

If I recall UK already had several opt outs negotiated over the years to accommodate the 'delicate' political position in UK. Cameron went to Brussels and the capitals of Europe. They listened and decide enough was enough. Rest is history now. Hey ho.

Errrmmm.......the migrants weren't leaving the UK, they were entering from Europe. Time is critical. A couple of hours could have made all the difference. In this day and age, I would have thought it possible to exray containers. But the French did nothing. NOTHING !!!

I believe it was a Bulgarian lorry, loaded in Italy and came here via Zeebrugge, Belgium.

It is a very good example of how problems are caused with the lack of border controls.

I don't think it was an isolated case though ? This one hit the headlines for obvious reasons.

EU commission always set to make everything as awkward as possible. Don't want Denmark etc to follow us. Time to take a little revenge. Take no beef from Ireland, listen to the squeals, and cut an immediate deal with Oz to take their beef to support them against Chinese bullying over Chin Flu.
Same for French wine Oz wine every bit as good.
Social media campaign all that is needed.

Marketing/advertising. Now the power of social media can change peoples buying decisions very quickly as per my previous comment about supporting our Anzac Commonwealth countries to the exclusion of EU countries as in sauce for the goose.

That would be the CANZUK agreement that's been talked about for years?
Seems like a good idea to me, don't see the fascination with Europe, its a big world out there.
Maybe do a deal with the yanks or South Americans, replace Irish Beef with their stuff and ship them British stuff.
