Post dip

What's evryone using?
Had a price on a barrel of deosan activate barrier which is what I've been using since the cows have been back in the cubicles and the price has gone up over £100 since I ordered in the spring 😳

Wondering if there's a cheaper option? Would like a barrier dip still and tbf have gotten along really well with the deosan stuff but it is bloody expensive!

Unfortunately that's why the milk price is moving away up. Everything has/is got dear
Yup, ordering calf powder today because I went into wynstay for some rat poison the other day, there calf specialist happened to be there, she said to buy now as December 1st price is going up £200-300 per tonne! 🙃 need 3.5t so even at £200 that's £750!

I know you have a good one @Jdunn55 but I can I recommend this one. I can’t speak highly enough of it. We were using a iodine based one previously. since we went onto it. Our cell count has nearly halved and our clinical mastitis rate has dropped to 6 %
Admittedly our cubicle management has improved and obviously the tracks and a kind season have helped too. But I am convinced this dip has been a big contributing factor.

Thanks, I haven't ordered anything yet as need to speak to a couple of others, who did you have that off?

I've tried a few different dips and have settled on deosan, even though it means getting it from Cornwall! The others all say they've got an equivalent but I still think deosan is better in terms of teat condition.

their our deval supplier. No idea if it’s a deval product
Last lot we had was1000ltr @£845
Ready mixed
They would be our dealer to, I actually phoned them yesterday about a heat detection system, I'll give them a ring again as that's a hell of a lot cheaper than the deosan, I have a feeling you're paying for the name with the deosan stuff, thanks
