Post drilling glyphosate

How strong a mix are people using when spraying off covers after the drill. Always been told 1.5lts when dealing with volunteer cereals, but this is into 2ft high rape and charlock. I don't want to kill the summer cover before the aminopyralid residues have the chance to do it for me...

Not sure what others do but I’m sure my agronomist has told me it’s only licenced for 1L/ha of 360g post drilling. As said I’m not sure perhaps others know

Early pre-harvest, 3 litres plus plenty of water conditioner.

If the cover is big it needs more than 1l so has to be drilled after spraying to be legal
strong overwintered cover needs 2 l minimum for grasses and 3 l for strong broad leaved plants

You can make less grammes of glyphosate work with adjuvants. Use water conditioner if you have hard water and add oil or an acid surfactant to cut through waxy leaves & stems. You can take this too far - stress the cover even more and it won't take the glyphosate in. Another litre of glyphosate is also a very good adjuvant!

In the spring I prefer to spray a month before drilling
then the 1 l post drilling
with beans Or deep drilling cereals that are slow to come up bg on the surface Is 20mm tall before the drilled seed emerges
we have also finding bg is harder to stop with roundup this year similar to when we sprayed set aside in the day
bg at ear emergence easy but 2 weeks earlier at stem extension more Tillers grows out from the base
high rates do not work ant better
i suscpect the issue is the sunny weather
bg tillers develop on the side of a plant and are very quickly independent so are not green when sprayed but not attached to the main plant avoiding translocation of the spray
these surviving tillers may be puny but still set a few seeds in the dry or take off in the wet

Make sure you condition the water first or use Glyphosate as the sacrificial conditioner into tank first
