One of those shovels like salad tongs.
But why do you need it so deep?
Got one but its too wide and not double jointed needs a smaller more viddy one,or some invention /process

knockers not wonderful so i I bore holes for strainers and I've got some 150 mm x 8ft slamming postrs seems wasteful to cut them and the snug fit and the depth mean no tamping needed. just a bit of fine backfilled around it

big augers are fine to clean the last bit but its the bnarrow ones that are the chalenge , the auger doesnt clean the hole right out even though tis dug really nicely.

Stop the auger turning while still in the hole, lift out slowly scraping off the flights as the soil appears out the top.
Just don't try it until the hole is nearly empty or you bend the arm.
it wont bend because its hd i made it myself out of an old converted watveave 3 point link forklift i dont mind cleaning it by hand its just the depth is the prob.

A proper fencing contractor would just cut a foot off the top😏.

Stop/start & clear the auger flights keeping the top of the hole clear
Mine is variable speed so once the hole is at depth I speed the rotation up back reaming the spoil out on a high rotational speed, a couple of passes like that usually clear it out fully.
Dry sand/gravel requires more patience & can benefit from a few buckets of water

It's pretty simple. Add a little water. Not to much to make a slurry. Just enough like making dough.
I have a 20 ltr container mounted on the side of my post driver/auger , with a little plastic hose to reach the hole.
And as above, once the auger is full of mud, then stop it and just pull it
Good idea could try that

I've not got an auger but if its only a foot deeper than you can reach couldn't you just use something like a ladle out of the kitchen or make one out of a box section on a handle to get a flat bottom 🤷
Sounds like hard work carting water about unless it's already set up handy.
Got a little miniture garden spade they use on there raised beds or in greenhouse and extended the handle but soil slips off it as you come up in the hole.and I think the Mrs wants it back now :D
Or maybe like those tongs posh People have for salads etc on the dining table
A normal size pair ofdouble jointed post gole tongs scissors strainright pair is mega money I believe. Too clumsy as well. NArrow cupped spade with long handle easy cleans the 16 inch concrete hole auger hole.
