Potassium again

Just a quick note to impart my fact of the day from this years Cereals.

The tissue tests Lancrop do are on a dried sample. And while this is well known, what i didn't appreciate was that Potassium is the one important nutrient whose measurement is compromised by this approach.
The dry sample tissue test is almost certainly under-reading K, and to get a more accurate reading a wet sample test (just for K) would be an idea.

Thanks to Yara for bothering to attend, and Mark Tucker in particular for a most interesting 15 minutes of his time.

That's interesting. We use Lancrop and K is the one that is always low no matter what we do. Think I will have to buy a potassium meter to double check. You going to Groundswell John? Been a while since we caught up.
