How are folks spuds growing? I have Sagitta slow to sprout on heavier parts of the field. I’m thinking about irrigation. They have been in 4 weeks.

Let’s hope so!All very slow getting through. It’s still early days but I see it being very low yielding. Has to be another £400 a ton or more. Rivers are getting lower day by day and it’s still only May.
I always worry because 3 years ago my Sagitta and melody simply didn’t emerge. Just a little tiny white sprout and that was it!
Own seed and no fazor used but anything could have happened. That sounds like glyphosate or fazor on the seed crop
Low demand too no holiday trade?!All very slow getting through. It’s still early days but I see it being very low yielding. Has to be another £400 a ton or more. Rivers are getting lower day by day and it’s still only May.

Currently re planting with Sagitta. Seed in shed seems to sprouted without any problems. I am thinking some type of little potato disorder. That doesn’t look good?
Bone dry here. Irrigation this week when re plantedInnovator, planted 15th April. Everything is a bit steady, a noticable difference between those planted into moisture and those not.
These went in well, ploughed just in front of planting. Irrigator is in the field, but stopped due to windBone dry here. Irrigation this week when re planted
