Anyone got a windrower that goes on 3 point linkage for sale? My harvester won't dig down hill and I've 3 steep fields to dig this year so would need to set the first 2 runs accross to make room for trailer.

15-20cm, we haven’t got auto depth control

Thought I better show our worst too -

Caberet planted 8th May, first time growing. They don’t seem to like being de sprouted and don’t seem very vigorous. Not looking good atm with some still not breaking through.

There’s always one let down!

Have you grown grown them @ridger ? I’m told they yield well but don’t have much top or ever look particularly good?

Had some cabaret as a seed crop in 2012. Harvested fewer tonnes than I planted!

4" of rain day after planting on sticky ground didn't help, then rain every other day till harvest. Although the sante in the same field yielded ok for the year.

Once was enough! I actually thought that the seed I bought has been gassed or something because they were so gappy. Sold around 11 tons to acre. They always looked hungry, bit like the squire I used to grow.

Those symptoms sound like glyphosate contaminated seed?

It was probably the crap seed crop I grew! .

They will be fine. Make sure they have plenty N and regular trace elements.

Yes, just thinking I’m going to need to get the kitchen sink out!

They don’t seem to like the dry, emergence is much worse in the drier spots.

Are you still flat out irrigating @Iben ?

Yes. Although I have one reel missing. I sent it away for repair in the winter and still not got it back! Supposed to be this week, but heard that a couple of times now.

Might have saved the wheat if I had got it back in time. Not happy

My agronomist, who is usually right. He has another chap near here who gets on well with them. Maybe I should go and look at his.
