No I haven’t seen that, but I did fill out the online thing. And yes I said I’d prefer it as optional. Considering the money we paid to them last year was more than the profit from our entire crop.

I can’t see many saying yes we’d like to keep paying out for it!

Has anyone else heard about this, I saw it in the veg magazine, hate to think how much we’ve paid in levies over the years, would love to opt out!!

I don't mind paying it if everyone else is, as long as they are affective.

As individual growers, we will get shafted, so we need someone to represent us as a collective.

Since price is largely static for the last thirty years and consumption is dropping annually while UK population is increasing annually, then it seems to me that they are not doing a good job.

Is there any other industry where the suppliers all have to pay a levy to a group of beurocrats to publish data on production and current stocks to allow the customers to drive down prices??

Stock feed is making £30 over here and seconds from pre packs are making £150 for peeling.

Best Agria we’ve ever grown, only got about 200t to go so thought we’d better try and slow them up a bit!

Not all roses, our piper won’t fry so only £300 in bags and £280 bulk.

The performer we finished yesterday were £370.

@riverside2 I fried some Rock together with Agria last night and we couldn’t see any difference in the fry or eating. Very nice, just a smaller sample than the Agria.

Pleased to hear it, we've been getting some good feedback on how they have been using and plenty of interest! Wider spacing to get the bolder sample for this years crop sounds like the plan.

I do like the spud videos from America, dont know what their yields would be to fit 4 rows into a ridge bottom like that?
