Ramos is good variety to consider. I would choose it over chalanger if the is any level of wire worm or PCN.
Cabaret has never performed for us. Rubbish bag count, and never the best demand. We often graded over a 55mm to improve the bag count and then sold the 45/55 for a nice processing contract we had.
We grow Sagitta for the pre-Christmas market, Ramos and Markies for the back end.

If you can still grow good piper then why not, they always sell.

Awful taste IMO there was a bad run of stores going down around here but I'm told they keep really well?

We grow Markies for the back end. We never eat them at home as they are bland and dry. The chippies use them as they deliver consistent 00 frying.
Personally I'd like a bit of colour and flavour. Only grow them as its what our customers want!

Ran into an issue with tuber count. 130 bag count is a bit on the high side apparently! Graded over a 55mm screen, nice even sample and I make it more like 110 bag count from the bags we have left from the sample.

I know what your saying 120/130 I would have thought would be ideal. The last few odd bags I’ve counted have been around 95.
