Talking to my brother in the UK last weekend, he said his boss had hit contract because of a good year and had quite a few fields left to go. He's going to store them in the ground at this stage but expects to plough them in as prices were below the cost of harvesting.
Thoughts?

He will probably dump them into n ireland at a stupid price and wreck our trade

What price do you consider as 'stupid'?
To get any spuds over IS on ST or any other ferry costs now £25-£30/t not mentioning cost of paperwork (DEFRA,TRACES, TSS etc.)

My thoughts are, what variety and market? Makes a big difference to whether they’ll be needed or not?
