Dog walking is big business, if you can do it right. A good friend of mine has quit his job as an office manager to walk dogs full time. 4 dogs per 1hour session £15/dog he collects leaves them back, sends pictures on the walk and they wear dog fit bits. He clears between £800-1000 a week, and he has a waiting list of people wanting his service.

Met a lad at the highland show a few years ago that does the same thing in Edinburgh though I’m sure he was £20 or £25 a dog. It sounded like a gold mine just for walking dogs around for an hour.

With the future of RPA payments unsure, increasing feed cost, and the uncertainty around our exit from the European Community us farmers need to look at other ways of generating income.
We have developed a business model that is low impact, low maintenance and with very little ongoing costs. This business is currently generating 36K per year with the potential for more. This business opportunity requires at least 6 acres of pasture or woodlands with recreational land use permission (simple change of use required if currently agricultural land), good access, a population of 35,000 within a 15 mile radius and secure fences and hedges (stock fencing is ideal)

We will asses your sites potential and if suitable we will develop the business for you through marketing and website.
If you have the right land and are interested in generating a serious income with little effort why not give me a call 07568581695.
Check out an example of our business model here www.exmouthdogfield.co.uk this site is generating 36K per year with costs of less than 5K.

Bit late to the party with this but where I worked last harvest had a 7ac field down to this. They are based within 12 miles of Birmingham and we’re nowhere near your figures. They’ve got a very good marketing system in place with website, app, social media etc with a large number of traffic (they had it monitored) and whilst it was busy they were anywhere near your figures because I was keen to do one at our family farm but it’s not worth the hassle. They had a big issue with dog mess everywhere uncollected which was impossible to police unless you have somebody sat watching the walkers. They also caught people using it when it was shut. These people had paid the first time they used it, got the gist of how it worked then flaunted it. I think you need to halve your income prediction from what I’ve seen.

Planning change of use?
A local field was rented by someone who set up a dog training business. Neighbours soon informed the planners who shut the business down as the field was being used for "non agricultural purposes". As a result its now being used to grow thistles and docks for some scraggy nags.

He could have used it for 28 days without planning or gone for change of use which is cheap

There such a thing as a gate lock that can use numerous codes so say mrs B books a time slot, issued a 4 digit code that works for that time slot as soon as time slot passes code no longer works Mr C comes along puts his code in and so on and so forth. Would obviously need internet access but that isn’t a issue, even if the gate was a couple of grand investment it would soon pay for itself.
