So our Dear Leader has pledged in today's Times to allow any Hong Kong born citizen to apply for a British (Overseas) Passports which will allow the holder automatic right of entry in to the UK without a visa for at least 12 months plus the right to work after which they can apply for full citizenship.

I understand that this is a poke at China and that not all 3m will either wish or want to come here but if they did .... why, that's an immediate jump of around 4% in our population never mind the pressure on housing, schools, and other infrastructure.

Not sure he's thought this one through

they'd be good productive ppl to have and legit reason IMO

Yes but the numbers that potentially could come are the problem. 3m is greater than the population of Manchester and looking at census data, currently Chinese make up 0.45% of the U.K. population total
Ghettoisation could also be a major problem going forward

If they are Hong Kong Chinese they will not be living in ghettos and if they did it would not be long before they were out of them and living in palatial homes.

bring them in, it will be the entrepreneurial go getters who move, so let them in I say, better than all these economic migrants who don't own a pot to.......
