How are they priced compare to mchaleOne of my friends had a demo of one. Was very impressed with baler and price.
I don't know exact figure. But I'm sure fair bit cheaper. He runs a vicon at presentHow are they priced compare to mchale
The prices I heard at the start was that they were very expensive . Look to be very well engineered.I don't know exact figure. But I'm sure fair bit cheaper. He runs a vicon at present
I'd imagine they seeked him out so got a good price. Put about 17k bales through prototype vicon in first year. So would be a good advert for them. The prices I heard at the start was that they were very expensive . Look to be very well engineered.
Talking to a pottinger rep 2 months ago, he said they hadn't a final price for the coming bale.
How often are you waiting for the wrapper with a Fusion? It's usually only in big rows haylage with 6 or 8 layers of plastic going on. Pottinger's transfer time looks painfully slow in the videos I've seen. Why not?
How would you sell something with no price.
The balers look good. Bale transfer is slow compared to a fusion, but the wrapper is quick which may help make up for the time lost.

The chopper and knife bank on the Pottinger look good, but the bale transfer and the tandem axle spoil it for me. Can't see a reason to change from McHale yet.Never wait on 4 layers, sometimes on 6 but adjust driving to suit anyways quickly. It's satisfying just having the lower roller return home as the net trips!
Just making the point that the McHale bale transfer still looks the best but the pottinger looks a good baler, and the wrapper is quick.

On the day you buy everything else is cheaper than McHale so I don't see why it wouldn't be too. McHale is the cheapest to own though. Are they cheaper than McHale?
£80k was a rough estimate by pottinger.
20k too much. It needs to be 10k cheaper, not dearer than a FusionToo much.
