Poultry wormer prices

Just seen a bill for FLIMABEND for 32k layers and was around £900!!! I’m sure this used to be around the £350 mark.

has anyone else had a large hike in price for this product?

anyone had experience with other products although I believe FLIMABEND is the best product to put in the water.

interested to hear others thoughts

Does flimabend go into the water or meal? I used to get wormer in the meal from meal company, 500 pound a go , now buy a wormer that goes into the water £800, but could get 7 or 8 doses per bottle ,at least ,, 16,000 house.

It goes in the water, we used to use flubenvet which went in the meal and that was £1650 for 32k birds. We then switched to FLIMABEND as it did a similar job for £350. However now that seems to have jumped up massively in price

I’ve just got to the bottom of this and it’s been put down as a mistake on the invoicing side. It’s now been changed to £400 + vat which is acceptable.

I still used flubenvet they get dosed by the rearing be for transfer, but don’t like doing it when on egg. They can get about 3% drop, do you get a drop on Flimabend?

I’ve never experienced a drop in egg production whilst being on a wormer, we used to use flubenvet but couldn’t justify the cost once flimabend came on the market. Now I can worm every 10 weeks for the whole flock for around the same price of 1 flubenvet. I would recommend flushing drinker lines out after worming through the water using hydrogen peroxide at 3% while birds are asleep.
