Poultry worming

Why have the powers that be made it so difficult to worm poultry?
Flubenvet 1% powder is for backyard keepers but I can't really see many options if you have a larger amount of birds. The big poultry men will get a lorry load with the wormer mixed in.
What are the options for us in the middle?

Speak to your vet, they can provide water based wormer to put in the drinkers.

Can you not buy layers pellets with flubenvet in?

Heygates and Marriages both do them.
Our supplier will only mix a bulk lorry load. We would only want 200 kg approx.
Il get onto the vet again and perhaps go down the in water route. Last time I did it in water was a right faff as it was a cream that you mix into the water. Getting it to mix was extremely difficult!

Panacur in there water works or Ivomec dropped onto the skin, neither method licenced for poultry but can be done with vets approval. No idea what the withholding period for the eggs would be though.

They work but would be illegal to use when we have a licensed product.

As has already been said - you can get feed with it already incorporated. Buy a suitable amount of that and everyone is happy.

Do you get descent results using water based womers like Panacur or flamboyant etc? We were never getting on top of them and got advised to try flubenvet in the feed and have had much better results. It is slightly more expensive but worth the money

Find a tame ag shop who will sell you Marriages or whatever. I've never had a problem buying for 300 odd birds. Maybe need to wait until the right person is behind the counter though.
