Power beyond mistake

Eldest son has just arrived in the house covered in oil, apparently tried to pull the power beyond return pipe with the engine running ( simple mistake) and the tractor started spewing oil out behind the spool valves. However filled it up with oil and it’s not doing it now, is there a relief valve in there or will there be some damage we have yet to find?

You sure it wasnt the connector didnt seal itself automatically as it should when disconnected and now it has?

He said oil was squirting out the back of the tractor towards the wheels from behind the spool valve block

Not sure then, but any relief valve does not allow oil to escape from the system, only back to the sump.

Not really, pissing oil when baling but not when doing anything else. So must have damaged a power beyond pipe under the cab. Rang local jd dealer yesterday and not heard a thing from them yet…..bloody useless. Good news is that it hasn’t stopped the tractor working and got 100 ton of lime on today and back on the drill tomorrow But we are going to have to find the leak at some time.

could it be the actuall connctor had it one a 75 where it was spurting oil out where it went back into the tractor replaced the fittings on the tractor and its stopped it.

The leak is in the back behind the spool block so maybe but I think I will leave it to,the experts. My mechanic skills are limited to a lump hammer
