Difference in finish between a professional and skilled amateur is massive

concrete is too expensive not finish properly, get a professional

Agreed. You need to know who you’re employing when you’re trusting someone you’ve never met before to lay tens of thousands of pounds of concrete in a day. That concrete, if it’s not right becomes next to worthless, (or worse costs you money to remove it and redo!)

Its a great pretty big risk to take when you think about it that way.

It really is scary pants time , I did my workshop floor which worked out really well but was only a small job , this is not a large shed but need around 120 cubic meters .

Am definitely getting a professional in but as you say you need to trust them .

I used to work for a hire shop.

Hired out powerfloats, you could tell who didn't know what they were doing because they'd wear out a set of pans just doing one job.

Professional contractors get months out of a set of pans.
