Anyone got experience with cutting and shutting a powerharrow? I have a 4 meter Lely and would like to cut of a rotorwidth on both sides.
Andy guest does it all the time relatively straight forward on a Kuhn don’t know about a lely but can’t see why not, but it’s very labour intensive. Need to totally strip it and classic measure check twice, cut once.

We have a Lely 66? series in 3m was a 4 cut down, they don't make a 3 metre 66.

The guy we bought it off cut it down & his man on the job would be no master mechanic...also got the spar bits with it.

We've just had the gearbox reconned by Andrew guest on a kuhn
4002 and it cost over £600 using all the original gears. Im not sure it was money well spent as no warranty . They started it immediately with out telling me the cost so would have had a box of bits back if I declined. Thank god it didn't need a new set of gears!

ey it's not cheap to refurb power harrows :cautious: and if you do your still left with an old machine, better to put in farm sale as some people will pay silly money at farm sales if they want something
