PPA Prices Set To Soar Further Due To Interconnector Fire In Kent

Renewable energy and local generation prices are set to soar following a key interconnector fire in Kent, cutting off the UK's link to France.

If you've got generation assets that are due for renewal, now is the time to secure your prices. I'm hearing early projections of £50/MWh increases for the month of October.

If you'd like a complete market tender, with over 20 energy suppliers bidding for your generation, then email me at [email protected], and I'll be happy to ensure you're getting the best prices available to you.

More details about the fire below;

We've just received an offer this morning of £147/MWh + 50p/REGO.

No signs of the market slowing down at all.

If anybody has any export renewals coming up and would like assistance securing the best rates feel free to email me at the above details.

Trying to renew our contract and this is what we got from Drax
Unfortunately we currently have a pause on all winter pricing, the market is too volatile for us to do anything for the time being.

If this changes, I’ll be more than happy to send something across, but would like to be a s transparent as possible in the interim.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Quite a few companies have taken this stance, however we still have a decent number of contacts in the industry willing to offer prices in this market. If you'd like any assistance arranging a new PPA whilst Drax aren't quoting please just let me know, my email address is above.
