PPA Prices Set To Soar Further Due To Interconnector Fire In Kent

Renewable energy and local generation prices are set to soar following a key interconnector fire in Kent, cutting off the UK's link to France.

If you've got generation assets that are due for renewal, now is the time to secure your prices. I'm hearing early projections of £50/MWh increases for the month of October.

No signs of the market slowing down at all.

We've just agreed a deal at £150/MWh, 50p/REGO and all DC/DA charges waived.

After a spike overnight last night we have received an offer of £165/MWh, 50p/REGO, and £8.33/Month metering charges for one of our customers today.

I've worked in this industry for a long, long time, and have never experienced anything like these prices before.

i have just renewed some smaller turbine and found that my current offtaker wouldnt price. After a conversation with Jamie Banks @ New Stream Renewables he managed to place the contracts out to 2024
