Practise ploughing

I tend not to worry so
Much about width.

I normally plough my feering (crown) then just go 8-10 yards over and do the same again, then gather in the middle. In my opinion, the hardest parts are the opening, feering and finish so I'd rather spend time getting them correct than aimlessly going round and round.

On a practice day, I'd rather do 2-3 smaller plots than 1 bigger one.

I would say it depends if you have got your plough working well then go for narrow plots but if it's not set up to your satisfaction wider the better.

@Howard150 @Roy Stokes Emma's complaining about the field how uneven and wet it is , well hammered carrot land but the old stone is cleaning up the plough. Going into some stubble next to get set up Told her she can plough all this corner about 5 acre . All she said was bring some more plough points

1. Need new points now the old Flint has wore them back . Got some more pics of the scrow we made in stubble

Thought the front furrow looked bruised in the ploughing pictures. You can see why on the front trashboard. Hard to say too much unless there are any pictures of the plough in work.
