K pappuller do you know of any haylage for sale
Do you have plenty of forage about you or will you be short ? If you have plenty see if you cant use some of your own first rather than buying in and increasing your cost, in answer to your question I dont know of any for sale but there does seem to be plenty about.

Moist would be ok rocket fuel not so clever

Agree. If we are talking silage for milkers fibre is really what we are trying to avoid. It's really easy to get too much, if you get some rocket fuel is a nice opportunity to feed less grain and save some money.

Dry cows and wet silage is fine as long as it has plenty of fibre in it. Save the low fibre stuff for the milkers.

I never really intend to make dry cow silage. I figure it will happen, a breakdown or getting behind means some silage will be too mature for milkers so I'll put the aside for dry cows.
