We got a big second flush of wild oats in beans this year, and now into wheat ,I want the best control possible. Usually use liberator at .6l but if a sniff of pdm would be beneficial it can have it. Opinions welcome.

If they came late then they might be like most of ours and germinate in late spring, we use axial pro as late as possible

Never used to get wild oats , until I imported some fym from a neighbour, now get 2 or 3 flushes a year in the fields that had the muck. Autumn and spring.

Wouldn't worry about a late flush in wheat. Half rate topik will sort them out.

We use topikk in wheat as late as we can and does a great job..

Topik is the best , don't go in too early as you'll be doing them again

3 litres picomax with have effects in the autumn , always expect to spray them twice , I do .

Used Topik in with the T2. It was too late on some ground. Oats had got too strong and shrugged it off

Over here in the west we've not had much call for Avadex until now as black grass is only just beginning to show, so no spreaders that I know of. Has anyone used the liquid equivalent ,Triallate , and rough cost per ha?

was priced on here four years ago at £35 a ha so could be a fair bit more now.

Before my time but the granule was originally invented because the liquid version was too photolabile. Guess what…! Having said that; it’s a worthy tank mix but if you want to get anywhere near 10% control it’s got to be the granule. I have a spreader that might be for sale

Can’t go higher than 0.125 if mixing with oil. 0.125 with oil is as good as 0.25 without.
