Prepare yourselves for

Prepare yourselves for.... absolutely anything.

In the next 5 years, politically, anything is possible.
I don't think that a Corbyn government would be a problem other than it would be considerably more divided than the present one, before or after Brexit.

What we should be all preparing for is a no deal.

Paradoxically, I think the best chance of getting a deal is to walk away now. Being held to ransom on starting discussions about future trade is simply not going to leave time for a deal.
If we put the ball in their court and said we are planning for no deal but if you come up with something favourable, we will vote on it and give you the X billion you want, they might just be more forthcoming.
As it is, there is just an argument about a 'meaningful vote'. What actual options could there possibly be to vote on?

Is not leaving possible?
Is renegotiating the deal possible?
In all likelihood, it could only be deal, or no deal.

The only argument for not preparing to leave with no deal now, is political, not logical.
2018 be crucial year for politics

i wonder will his electorate thank him when they are left floundering with no trade deal?
at least they will have plenty of cheap beef to eat:D:D:D:D:D

Aren’t you worried. NI simply an extremely uncomfortable stone in London’s shoe. Definitely far more trouble than it will ever be worth. To cap it all you ungrateful sods voted to remain.
Meanwhile down in Dublin Coveney giving short shrift to BoJo.

you will g
Flamin Nora, but what the ‘ell is the world coming to? Those bloody upstart Irish, who should still be in the empire if they had any common sense, are now causing more problems than the pesky French.
There’s gratitude for you :whistle::whistle:

Firstly, you could be quoting the EU talking about us. Secondly, the first thing you need to understand about European politics is that, for all countries, nobody causes more problems than the French. ;)

A compliment at last! :) The 'Rees' bit of his name might give you a clue to something. I feel older sometimes, but am a child of the Seventies.
Im glad you view it as a compliment. An early career in the army, followed by reading for two degrees, called to the bar;practising solicitor/barrister,and now retired to go farming, all before your mid 40s.Very impressive!

By my mid 40s. I sense a touch of sarcasm...

One BSc, one Postgrad' Diploma degree, and the 'Degree' of Barrister (it is a degree too, awarded by one's Inn of Court). I did what was the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) and have had no training at all to be a solicitor, although the law school I attended did run the solicitors' LPC alongside the BVC. Retired? I wish.

A lot of people from my time, late 80s into the 90s, left the Army and went on to get academic qual's. I was 26 when I started my first degree, in geology, and can safely say that I wouldn't have been sufficiently mature or self disciplined to study properly and get as much out of it when I was 18 or 19; nor were most students there. I only went on to study law because global commodity prices crashed leading to much smaller mineral exploration budgets and the cancellation of the PhD I had lined up, plus a cousin who is a Barrister painted a very rosy picture. Funny old world... ;).
