Gosh. He’s so generous. How about Britain paying back the former colony countries for all the grief caused and assets “borrowed”! (n)

Firstly, I estimate the ROI would, by historical population, be liable for between 10& and 15% of that up to its 'divorce' from the UK. Secondly, place a quantum on what was taken out and the value of the many centuries' worth of civilisation, learning and technology and infrastructure put in, which was - and often still is - way ahead of anything in Africa , India etc. and saved them a huge amount of time and money.

Daft argument to start with, will Ireland compensate for the invasion of the North of Britain, and would it expect the UK to 'apologise' for the descendants of its invaders returning to the North of Ireland later? Will the ROI and UK be looking to Scandinavia, France and, for the UK only, Italy for 'compensation'? Daft.

So thank you. You just made my point!!!
IDH is talking through his solar plexus!!!

By the way ...... our civilisation and prominent engineering nous long predates your lot or the hairy Scandinavians.
Predates Stonehenge and the Pyramids of Egypt.

Do take a trip Royal County Meath to see Newgrange.

Your lot probably copied the drawings. Never mind though. Paddy probable changed a few vital calculations before you got your hands on them.

In this regard I am not at odds with you, what is done is done and what is spent is spent. Nevertheless, I think it will strike anyone - without an axe to grind - as a quite spectacular example of ingratitude for the EU to be asking a country that has already donated a net sum of greater than HALF A TRILLION POUNDS to shell out any more for a mutually beneficial deal.

What’s all this about the government offering free rail travel for millennials?
Are they taking out a pea shooter to compete with Jeremy’s bazooka of free everything for students and such?

Few months ago TM was selling grannies house out from under her to pay for what passes for care.
Now she is giving free travel to strapping young men and women.
This Brexit has fried her brain!

Certainly fried yours , its not free travel its a discount of around 30% for off peak, much the same as anyone can get if they book ahead, this will allow those very clever young people who forget to book ahead to get the same price, you really need to start looking for news somewhere other than the independant, which is anything but independant
