Dutch will do it right away with laser leveling etc..
Maybe Clive should consider a deep plowing as well, the soil in 1.5m depth might be much nicer so he can build up from scratch. Masterminding it......
After finishing his house project he might have some spare capacity as well in his brains.

Eh? Grass is a great crop for "converting" the soil. He has grazing animals now too.

Why would ploughing take 10 years to get land leveled out ????
Good quality ploughing followed by decent cultivation will leave a nice level finish ,,,,, tho I would agree that land can settle out as rough as arseholes behind a one pass combi drill

I'm not pro ploughing, actually never ploughed a field in my life.

A wait and see approach wont pay the bills, perhaps more soil pits and detailed soil analysis may pin point the problem without resorting to anything drastic

I think we are all in this situation from time to time

by now the results of the soil samples should be there, if ever pulled. So we have "butter with the fishes" so to say for going deeper into the reasoning, or?
