We need to put in a water tank to supply some new pig sheds. Usually we would put it up high and get some pressure but this one has to go on the floor. Has anyone put in a booster to get it up to mains pressure?
Whisper pumps will do you a pump, pressure vessel and pressure switch. Also afloat switch so pump stops if tank drains and a one way valve to stop pressure vessel water from returning to tank
Thanks for that. At the moment it’s for 500 pigs but may go to 1500 in a year or so. I was going to put in a 5000 lt tank to give a buffer. What happens if the power goes down? Do I just put the mains back on?
I wouldn’t have it plumbed in with a tap to just turn on for the reason you give.
Looking on the whisper pump site there are a few options. I assume when they talk capacity that means it can pressure up enough to deliver a certain amount with out turning on constantly.
